I'll answer this one first, in English. In Klingon, there are some sounds
that are represented by consonant clusters: {tlh}, {gh}, {ch}, and {ng}.
Even though these are represented by clusters in the romanization system we
use, they are still considered single sounds. When Philip pointed out that
{gr} is illegal for a normal Klingon word, he was pointing out that {gr} is
not one of these clusters.

How to pronounce it:

The first sound, {ng} is the final sound in the english word "hang".
The second, {a} is the British version of this letter, and the same sound is
found in American word "father", never as in American "apple".
The third, {b}, is exactly what it looks like, forcefully elocuted.
{w} is as in "witch", "wonder", etc.
{I} is as in "bit".
{'} is a glottal stop. It is a sudden cutoff of air, a sudden escape of air,
or a very brief pause, depending on where it is in the word.
To get a feel for the way this sound feels, say "hot toddy" at normal
conversational speed. Notice that you did not say "hot", followed by
"toddy". You should have felt a small catch in the back of your throat, just
before the second "t". This is a glottal stop.

The above information can be found on pg [no] of TKD.
