There is a mistake, ... no, ... this is only one of all the errors:
{lan} is a verb, "place"
German: "platzieren = stellen, setzen, legen" and not "Platz"

It's correct what you say. The first means "when (you are) threathened, fight!", a general statement. The second one is more personal:
"when HE threatens you...".

No. It just means "as soon as, when":
{DaSeHDI'} "as soon as you control it"
{qara'DI'} "as soon as I command you"

Note for others: in german, "when" and "if" is the same word
The suffix {-DI'} means "when, as soon as" (wenn, sobald). It is used when you talk about a thing happening sometime.
The suffix {-chugh} means "if" (wenn, falls). It is used when you don't know whether something will happen or not.
I dunno if this is understandible, so I'll give examples:
{DaleghDI', yItlhap} "as soon as you see it, take it"
this sentence tells us that I do know that you will see something, and when the time comes that you see it, then you must take it.
{Daleghchugh yItlhap} "if you see it, take it"
this sentence tells us that I do not know whether you will see it or not, and IF the possibility should occur that you happen to see it,
take it.

The first is correct:
{Dubotchugh yIpummoH}
"If it's in your way, knock it down" (TKW p.9)
{Dubotlu'DI'} does not work, because with {-lu'}, the meaning of the prefix "turns around". In this sentence, you should say
{Dabotlu'DI'} which means "as soon as someone blocks you".
Read TKD section 4.2.5. about "Type 5: Indefinite subject/ability" two or three times, and then ask me again.
