Although I understand questions of canon and so forth, this is not a Klingon
word. Does it really matter how it is pronounced by Klingons?
My name is David. If a Klingon were to say DeyvID, he's be pronouncing it
wrong. My name has no retroflexes in it. There is no way a Klingon could
correctly pronounce my name, using only the Klingon sound inventory. So if
he chose to say Dey'vID instead of DeyvID, what difference would it make?
None to me! Both are wrong.
The only situation in which Klingon attempts at pronouncing non-Klingon
names is important is when someone is analyzing how Klingons interpret
sounds in language.
