Don't be alarmed at some of the in-depth discussion you see on this list.
We speak at all levels here.
Pay close attention to messages with "KLBC" in the subject. This stands for
"Klingon Language Beginner Conversations" (or thereabouts), and it means
that message is meant to be read by the Beginners' Grammarian, whose name is
Quvar. If you have any questions, or if you want someone to check your
Klingon, put KLBC in the subject line.

Do you have The Klingon Dictionary? That's where you need to start. You
can get this at a bookstore, or online (the Klingon Language Institute also
sells them: /stuff/Merchant.html
To start, you really need The Klingon Dictionary, but later, to get a
complete word list, you'll also want to get Klingon for the Galactic
Traveler.
Any words that don't appear in one of those two books are available online,
here: /tlh/newwords.html
There are other sources available for learning Klingon, including books and
audiotapes. But the stuff I listed above is all you really NEED to have.
