qepHommey - Klingon language gatherings

Many people are learning to speak Klingon. For the most part, they must do
it alone, as they are widely scattered. The Klingon Language Institute
holds an annual {qep'a'}, or "great meeting", each summer, but only a small
fraction of the KLI's membership can attend. So various individuals have
stepped up to host more frequent regional gatherings, in communities around
the world. These informal gatherings get the label {qepHom}, or "minor
meeting". Some of the hosts hold a {qepHom} weekly, others once a month,
and occasionally someone will have a one-time event.

Here is a list of upcoming {qepHommey}:

CANADA: Vancouver, BC
approximately monthly (contact host for plans)

GERMANY: Hannover
  every Monday; 19:00 - 21:30

SWEDEN: Uppsala
  every Tuesday; 18:00

UK: Morpeth, Northumberland
the last Saturday of each month; 18:00

USA: Westminster, CO (Denver)
  every Saturday; 4:30pm - 6:00pm

USA: Chicago, IL
  Sunday, May 18, 2003; 2:00 pm

USA: Joplin, MO
the first Saturday of each month; 3:00 pm

More details can be found at /stuff/qepHom.html ,
including contact information for each event. If you don't see a meeting
in your area, feel free to send a note to me <[email protected]> indicating your
interest in either attending or hosting.
