qepHommaj

wa'Hu' ram ghom wej tlhIngan Hol jatlhwI'pu'.

jIH: mataghpa' bIQ wIpoQba' [yajmeH chaH, HIvje'mey vItlhap, jIqangchoH]

tomaS: bIQ?! Isn't there a Klingon saying bIQ ngaS HIvje' meaning you're
completely wrong?

jIH: bIlugh. HIq DamaS'a'?

tomaS: Dargh vIneH

jIH: maj. Dargh wIb? [DarghmeywIj vI'ang] Dargh yIwIv.

tomaS: Orange Pekoe

jeyD: na'ran!

With actions, slow repetitions and pauses for dictionary lookups, a qepHom
can be conducted almost entirely in Klingon.

My husband called during the proceedings and that conversation went like this:

jIH: nuqneH!

ghaH: I'll be home in five minutes.

jIH: DaHjaj qaS qepHom.

ghaH: Oh I forgot that was tonight.

jIH: naDev wej tlhIngan Hol jatlhwI' lutu'lu'.

ghaH: That's okay. I have an umbrella to beat them off with.
