A translation:
It was a perfect set up.  [If anything can metaphorically 'be prepared to
launch' in the manner of a torpedo, it's a joke like that].  Very clever.
Had Krankor deliberately chosen the wrong word?  I'm not certain.   He's
certainly fully capable of devising that joke, in order to trick us.  It's
possible.  I remember the occurence too, but didn't remember that it was ME
who questioned the colour of the vessel.
