Re: Klingon WOTD: HoHwI' (n)

: Klingon word: HoHwI'
: Part of Speech: noun
: Definition: Romulan hunter-killer
: Additional Notes: KCD

Not exactly. {HoHwI'} just means "killer", of course, and is the short
form of the much longer {romuluSngan Sambogh 'ej HoHbogh nejwI'} "Romulan
hunter-killer probe" - i.e. an assassin probe of Romulan manufacture - that
struck down Torghn during his son Pok's lop'no (Rite of Ascension party) in
KCD.

{HoHwI'} is also the name of a ship in Crispin's novel SAREK, for which
Okrand was consulted.
