The Klingon disruptor rifle is a standard hand held disruptor,

Its antonym is {tIqHa'} "be short (in length for an object)"; also cf. {run}
"be short (in stature)" and {'eS} "be low". Do not confuse {tIq} with {nI'}
"be long, be lengthy (duration)".
{tIq] also shows up as an element in compound nouns. E.g.:
{bIQtIq} river ("long water")
{tajtIq} type of knife KGT ["a knife with a particularly long
blade that is used almost as if it were a sword." (KGT 62)]
To measure {Dochmey tIq} use the verb {'ab} "measure, have a length of":
"There are two words used for length: {'aD} and {'ab}. Both of these
can be translated as 'have a length of', but they are used somewhat
differently. {'aD} is used in contrast with {juch} 'have a width of'
in measuring, say, a table top. {'ab}, on the other hand, is used for
(potentially) longish, skinnyish things (for example, spears) and
