Actually, we can't. {wovmoHwI' Do} isn't quite the image you're hoping
for. {wovmoHwI'} does mean "light", but it refers to the device, not the
phenomenon:

It's an illuminator - a "thing which causes (something) to be light/bright"
- like a flashlight, head lamp or running light.

Ooh... "photon velocity". Very nice! It's different enough to be
interesting but not enough so as to be incomprehensible, and it uses extant
