You are agreeing not only with me. KLI experts have long talked about
"recasting" English (German/Dutch, etc.) to produce logical Klingon.
Meanwhile, I have lived in various countries and have learned a lot about the
languages in immersion situations. My college methods courses were back in
the ALM days (I'm old!!!). I still see great results from learning a foreign
language by deductive reasoning, using the language until it makes sense,
until it feels "native." Every college course I ever took regarding language
and language learning has admonished against "forced translation."
