Grammar Highlight Each Day (numbers)

Disclaimer: Marc Okrand is the creator and the true authority of the Klingon
language. Consult The Klingon Dictionary grammar section diligently, MO
wrote it. I post these "tips" one at a time only as an aide to learning
Klingon.

Today we see how to use numbers in Klingon.

The number comes right in front of the noun.  Examples:  wa' loD = one man;
cha' be'pu' = two women; wej targhmey = three dogs*; loS naQmey = four
sticks; vagh yaSpu' = five officers; jav jaghpu' = six enemies; Soch puqpu' =
seven children; chorgh paqmey = eight books; Hut mIl'oDmey = nine sabre
bears; wa'maH nItlhpachDu' = ten fingernails; HutmaH Hut tlhInganpu' = 99
Klingons.
