SKI: My acquiantance reveals that she thought it was a kind
of code, from a brain-teaser game that is played. In this
game, words are written in a bizarre way using letters that
can, but rarely, represent a sound in English, e.g. "ph" = "f".
The player is supposed to solve the original English word
or phrase.

Mystery solved. =)
