The original question relates to <Qoch> and its possible object. Since it is
defined in TKD as simply "disagree", and <Qochbe'> is agree, I would have to
say that <Qoch> and <Qochbe'> cannot be used with an object. So you can say
<jIQoch> - "I disagree", but you *CANNOT* say <qaQoch> - "I disagree with
you".
That said, Okrand's recent explanations of some verbs like <qIm> and <'Ij>
have clarified their meanings to include objects where we would not have put
them before, so it's possible that <Qoch> could take an object and mean
"disagree with". However, it's always better to be safe and avoid using it
like this unless we hear otherwise.
As for <Qochbe'> and <QochHa'>, the dictionary gives <Qochbe'> as "agree",
so that's clearly what it is. Okrand explained a bit more on this a while
back (I think it was in the interview with charghwI' in HolQeD; I don't
remember for sure). That's probably the best place to look for an
explanation.
