well, I consider {Do'} "be lucky, fortunate" a stative verb...
and I've always hung myself on the phrasing "a turn of luck from
good to bad", which seems to include the concept of change in
{-Ha'} itself, however, in the useful phrases we find
{vIlamHa'choHmoH}, which seems to put the "change" into {-choH}.

that has been my conclusion too, or maybe just my persuasion...
