The KBTP (Klingon Bible Translation Project) once came up with *{tujrop} FWIW.

{tuj rop} "heat-sickness" (Noun-Noun)
{rop tuj} "the hot sickness" (Noun-Quality)

Agreed; it makes a better definition than a translation. You can talk about
having a fever much more simply:
ropmo' jItuj.
I'm running a fever. ("Because of the sickness, I'm hot.")

Or leukemia, blood poisoning, etc.

Since {tuj} is also a noun, this can also be translated as "blood heat".

Unless you're a Vulcan, in which case the term is *plak tow* ("blood fever") -
but now you're talking about a different type of passion. <g> The Klingons
have an ironic saying: {nong; vulqangan rur} "passionate as a Vulcan" (KGT).
Depending on what exactly "blood fever" means in her story - does it refer to
sickness, or passion, or both? - perhaps malqa's friend would find one of these
proverbs a better title:
bIrchugh qIvon tuj 'Iw.
If the *QiVon* is cold, the blood is hot. TKW

a Klingon body part. It probably means something like 'Even though
some parts of the body may be cold, a Klingon's blood is hot'--that

N.B. the spelling *QiVon* comes from Paramount's "Star Trek: Continuum" Klingon
database and the Okuda _Omnipedia_.

Personally, I think that {tujpa' qul} or {bIrchugh qIvon} would make intriguing
Klingon story titles.
