In case you haven't noticed, the updated Merchant page is open and running
again (/kli/Merchant.phtml) and includes the option of
preordering THE KLINGON HAMLET.
I was on the phone with the folks at Pocket Books yesterday and they
confirmed the release date of February 1, 2000. I don't care what they say
at Amazon.com, the publishers insist they're not shipping any earlier.
Our order has already gone in, and I'll be processing preorders as they
arrive, making up mailing labels and pre-stamping the envelopes so that
once the books actually arrive I should be able to get them back out in the
mail almost at once.
Preordered copies of TKH incur no shipping and handling fees. That's right,
none. zip. zilch. pagh. Total cost to you will be just US$12, regardless of
where you live. It's our way of saying "thanks" for placing the preorder.
Once the books arrive, preordering will be discontinued, and normal S&H
charges will apply to the book.
