Disclaimer: Each highlight tries to cover one point, not the gamut of
grammar surrounding the words involved. This is not meant to be a
comprehensive teaching tool of Klingon, only daily hints.
Ordinal numbers are: first, second, third, fourth, fifth, etc. Unlike
cardinal numbers which come right before the noun they count, ordinal numbers
occupy the position of an adjective, right after the noun.
Examples: loD wa'DIch = first man (loD = man; wa' = one, wa'DIch = first)
be' cha'DIch = second woman (be' = woman; cha' = two, cha'DIch = second)
puq wejDIch = third child (puq = child; wej = three, wejDIch = third)
Compare: targh loSDIch lulegh loS loDpu' = Four men see the fourth dog.
(targh = Klingon dog-like animal; loSDIch = fourth; lulegh = they see it; loS
= four; loDpu' = men [plural])
