The way <pong> works is the put a <-vaD> on the thing to be named, and use
the name as the direct object:
puqloDma'vaD ro'HoS wIpong.
> pongvamvaD pe'Ijqa' !
I'm not sure what you mean here. Perhaps I'm just being dense - it's early.
In any case, <X-vaD 'Ij> does not necessarily mean "listen to X"; it
basically means "listen for the benefit of X". In many situations, they work
out to roughly the same thing, but not in this case. The word you want is
<Qoy>. Most of the places you would normally use the English phrase "listen
to" work fine in Klingon with <Qoy>, even though the English sounds really
strange with "hear". Just another difference between English and Klingon.
