It's not odd, but it is moderately ambiguous. I read it both as
"Two days from now, I will start to accompany my love of one year ago"
and "I began to go with my love a year prior to the day after tomorrow"
with a slight emphasis on the former. After I thought about it a while,
I decided they both said about the same thing and that it wasn't worth
worrying about which one you actually intended.

Since the extra ambiguity occurs because you have a second time word in
front of a noun, the way {cha'vatlh ben HIq} does it, the obvious way to
make it clearer is to move the offending noun out of the way.
cha'leS wa'ben matlhlejchuqchoH bangwI' jIH je.
or
cha'leS wa'ben mutlhejchoH bangwI'.
