List Etiquette (was RE: Shakespeare)

Just a short note from your friendly, neighborhood List Administrator.

This list is for communication IN or ABOUT the Klingon language. If you're
not commenting on the Klingon language, your note should be written in
Klingon. I know there are a lot of folks here who are just getting started
(and every one of you is welcome here!), and writing even short notes in
Klingon can be challenging. I'm not picking on Kathleen here, there has
been a marked increase in off-topic posts over the past couple of weeks.
But let's bear in mind what this list is for. If you have something you'd
like to share, at least attempt to do it in Klingon, that's the best way to
learn. There are no penalties for trying here. :)

There's a reason for this policy. This list gets a lot of traffic, and
off-topic threads can contribute greatly to the list volume, without
contributing to the list's mission. If it's not IN or ABOUT the Klingon
language, please reconsider whether you really need to send the message to
this list. We don't want to discourage anyone from participating here, but
we also don't want to get flooded with off-topic posts.

Thanks very much,

--d'Armond, List Admin

info. Keep me posted if anything happens. Be warned, if any of you lot meet

started! Or all you'll hear is
