Mm, that captures the "I make it so by the very act of speaking" aspect
that "Fiat lux" implies, at least to me. I don't know what "fiat" properly
means in Latin, but at least in English it has come to mean something like
creation simply by declaration or definition (sort of like "I hereby demote
you," in which the act of speaking the words makes the action take place).
And again, it's interpreting to a particular aspect which may not be
present in the original (as nobody understands better than you,
charghwI'). And there's nothing wrong with that. All translation is
interpretation.
