RE: wot moHaqmey

A good way to remember the less-commonly used prefixes is to memorize a
*short*
phrase or proverb containing the prefix. Look through TKD's "List of Useful
Expressions", The Klingon Way and Klingon for the Galactic Traveller. The two
audiotapes/CDs are an excellent source of brief sayings.

For {pI-} "we (do something) to you", for example, I always think of:

  pIpIH.
  We're expecting you. CK

Another good example is:

  pInaDqu' tuqlIj wInaDqu' je.
Glory to you and your house.
("We praise you highly; we also praise your house highly.") KGT

This last will also help you remember {wI-} "we (do something) to it/him/her",
though you will have to remember the literal translation in addition to the
traditional one. And it's an example of how to use {je} following a verb.

Go through Okrand's materials and find sayings that appeal to you, either for
their insight into Klingon culture or just because they're amusing, and are
easy to remember. If you need help finding an example featuring a particular
prefix, email me and I'll look one up for you in my notes.

monitor, for when he's posting to the listserv.)
