Or worse if you're speaking to a superior officer:

  lu', qaH.   "Yes, sir."
  lu', qoH.   "Fine, fool."

Okrand has stressed that proper pronunciation is crucial.  Cf. KGT (p.193):

  "Mispronouncing {qaH} as {qagh} has often led to particularly
   unfortunate results."
