People who saw Contact seem to think that they're being very clever by
invoking Ockham's Razor, an idea most of them had never heard of before they
saw that movie.  The idea isn't all that big, anyway.

The whole thing just reminds me of a field of science-fiction movie-watching
sheep, being led around without any thoughts of their own.  "Jurassic Park"
uses 'T-Rex,' so that MUST be the correct thing to say."

It's kind of like when children see a Disney movie based on an old story,
and think that it's way the story really goes.
