Many people have responded to this question, and everyone seems to have missed
the point of Qov's recasting. We don't know if the Klingon word {naj} can
take an object. The English definition of the word is less than enlightening.
The problem here is that the "about" or "of" is NOT included in the
definition, which is usually seen if that's how the structure looks in
English. The only time we've ever seen {naj} used is in {bInajtaHvIS qeylIS
Daghomjaj}, which is hardly useful.
If you're so sure {naj} can take an object, tell me exactly what is allowed as
that object. Can I say {may' naj}? How about {mu' naj}? Or {tlhIngan Hol
naj}? What is the object?
Personally, I'd avoid any object on {naj} until we know more about how it
works. Qov's recasting does this, without the loss of being able to talk
about something. Never assume "of" or "about" are part of a word's
definition unless they are written in there explicitly.
