The other word, {jawwI'}, sounds closer to what the "friend" claims.

If it's from "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock", it was "mispronounced"
at the source. :-/  The script said {joHwI'} -- and whoever read it either
didn't know or didn't remember what {H} was supposed to sound like.  Poof!
The language gets a second word for "lord"... :-)
