Greetings.
Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the previous class(es), but I am
interested in participating if it is not too late to start up.
I have accesses the KLI Mush in the past, but lost my mushman program
and am left with simple telnet.exe which is distributed with Win95. I
cannot successfully operate this scaled down telnet program.
I am more familiar with mIRC, and support the suggestion to use IRC in
some form. Earlier this morning I visited the Klingon IRC channels
#tlhIngan and #Klingon on both DALnet and IRCnet, but only met silent
bots.
Would the said classes require that the forum be affiliated in some way
with the KLI such as the MUSH or this list, or can it be on the IRC
channels? Can the KLI establish an official IRC channel?
I am very interested in expanding the online presence of the academic
study of the Klingon language, and will try to participate in whatever
incarnations arise from our imaginations and ingenuities; but we should
not spread ourselves too thin if it detracts from the greater goal.
