I notice you speak (write) english pretty good. I had the same problem in the
beginning, but I just couldn't wait for the German edition, So I'm learning
Klingon from the English edition :-)
Since I started learning Klingon, I also learned a lot of English (and other
stuff). If I cannot find a word in English which I know in German I don't
look up the translation, because there usually is no "right" translation. Try
to paraphrase the expression into english, and then try to find a word in
Klingon which is almost the same.
