I just received my copy of "Secret Fighting Arts of the Warrior Race", and
it's beautiful!  It has a great wealth of information on learning to fight
with a betleH.  But in order to use the book I need a betleH.  A friend of
mine makes wooden martial arts swords, and can make one for me, but to do
that he needs to know the dimensions of the sword.  Those dimensions were
given by Dax in "Blood Oath", but I do not have that episode on tape.  If
any one does, and can furnish me with this info. I would apreciate it.

Forget the dimensions giving in "Blood Oath".  Make the weapon fit you.  As 
a start the weapon should be twice the length from your palm to the ground 
(arm hanging at your side) minus a few (2 or 3) inches (tip to tip straight 
line).  Make the curvature suit your own fancy.  I like less curvature than 
the one used in the show.  The distance from center of the outside grips 
should be a bit less than the width of your shoulders;  less and holding 
the weapon is cramped, more and your shoulder joints are too open.  I took 
a look at the specs given in "Blood Oath" and threw them out as 
unrealistic.  Some (can't remember which now) were ridiculous.

BTW, bring your weapons to the qep'a'; the demos aren't just show-and-tell, 
I demand audience participation so be prepared to sweat.  I will try and 
bring a few extras along with some wooden meqleHmey but I can't guarantee 
it at this time.
