Hey folks.
Well, my qep'a' loSDIch payment is in (finally), and I'm psyched. I hope
lots of you folks are planning to come as well. If you haven't signed up
yet, definitely do so. The qep'a' is an experience not to be missed.
Don't worry about not being expert enough or anything; the only
prerequisite is interest (well, and the money). There have been people who
have attended qep'a'mey and spoken not a word of Klingon, and enjoyed it
thoroughly. Don't you want to meet some of the folks here, and actually
hear the language in use?
Speaking of the qep'a', now that I'm signed up, I need a roommate. I don't
snore to speak of, don't smoke, generally bring or buy a mess of food for
myself since I keep kosher, but will share. Looking for a friendly male
roommate who doesn't smoke or insist on staying up till all hours (or
possibly a female roommate if sufficiently good-looking and willing to sign
an agreement of non-disclosure regarding my wife). Let me know!
Speaking of hearing the language in use: there will now be a meeting every
Monday night at 8pm Eastern (US) time on the KLI's OnLive Talker conference
(http://www.kli.org/kli/talker.shtml) about Klingon custom and culture as
reflected in tlhIngan Hol. The meeting is organized by Martin A. Lessem
([email protected]), who will be calling himself SaghojmoHchuq on
the talker. So stop by if you can (you'll need the right hardware and
software listed on the page; sorry about the limitations). Similarly,
where are you folks on Wednesdays at 8pm when I'm there? OK, I've missed
the odd week now and then, but I'm there most of the time. Come on by!
