It varies with the size of a person's order (and the corresponding
postage), but usually the KLI makes a little bit on each order. That's
part of why the cost of membership has not increased in five years even
though our printing costs have nearly doubled from when we began.
However, the KLI is a NONPROFIT corporation. The merchant page exists
to help get Klingon language materials to people who might otherwise not
have the means of buying them. (most notably, folks living outside the
USA). Any profits that are generated are cycled back into other
projects. For example, our next BIG expense will be publishing MUCH ADO
ABOUT NOTHING in the Fall.
