It may not be so formal, given the example in CK (PK?). Our calendar
breaks days at midnight, but out *minds* mostly don't. Hence the example,
something like "Tuesday night at 3am." Tuesday night at 3am is not Tuesday
at all, but Wednesday. Nonetheless, we perceive the day to last really
until dawn, or until we wake up after the night's sleep, or something (it's
a joke in my house, when my wife would occasionally say we have to do
something or other "today" when discussing it late at night after midnight,
while for me I still consider it "tomorrow" that we're going to do it, the
clock's information notwithstanding). So it's not necessarily the calendar
we're learning about (which is reasonable, since we know next to nothing
about the calendar anyway), but about Klingons' perception of days (about
which we really care more anyway). And that it's not too different from
ours (or at least from mine).

In Hebrew it's "b'te'avon", meaning something like "with desire", i.e. eat
with a hearty appetite. The word "te'avon" is actually related to the root
used for "lust" in the Bible (and possibly now as well).
