Indeed.  It may simply be the "correct" usage for Terran speakers in a
terran environment.  I'm sure that in actual conversation (as opposed
perhaps to in a book or translation), all Klingon speakers use "Hogh" for
seven days, "DIS" for 365.24.... days, "jaj" for 24h, etc.  Doesn't mean
it's how Klingons use it, but how they might on Earth.  Even as I might
refer to "days" if I lived on a planet with a 28h rotation, and mean 28h.
