KLBC {-moHtaH}
chay' <ghojmoHtaH> vImugh?
My problem here is: should I say
1) He continuously causes him to learn
(he continuously teaches him)
or
2) He causes him to continuously learn
That is, shoud the {-taH} modify the {ghoj} part or the {-moH} part?
I think that it modifies the {-moH} part, but I don't have an
apparent reason to believe so. Maybe you have one?
I could of course avoid this by saying
{ghoj 'e' tungHa'taH}
He continuously encourages him to learn
or
{ghojtaH 'e' tungHa'}
He encourages him to continuously learn
(though this does not necessarily mean he actually succeeds in
causing him to learn)
{ghoj 'e' raDtaH}
he continuously forces him to learn
or
{ghojtaH 'e' raD}
he forces him to continuously learn
(though this suggests he does the teaching violently, which {-moH}
doesn't)
And maybe there are other options. (I *have* to work on my vocab...:)
