I have to agree. I'm as frustrated with the apathetic attitudes of Star
Trek writers as anyone else. It makes me especially angery that Paramount
is sueing HetaQ for possession of a language that it seems only vaguely
aware of. But I think it is a credit to Okrand that he tries to bridge the
gap. Someone involved in ST production has to give a damn! Besides, as
ironic as it may seem, compensateing for Paramount hol, or rather
incorporating it into tlhIngan Hol, has given Okrand avenues of "fleshing
out" the language, and it's history. He has always writen from the
perspective of a cultural observer rather than an author. This latest work
of his reflects that.
