List of compound nouns constructed for the benefit of this story and
not guaranteed to work anywhere else, or here, for that matter:

(Beginners, note that any words not on this list is not a constructed
compound, thus for each word in my story you will look up one word in
TKD, along with possible prefixes and suffixes. I see a lot of
confusion on the part of people who haven't yet realized that this
is generally true for tlhIngan Hol.)

bemorngan - native inhabitant of Bemor, the location of this story

Suyghom (grammatically singular) - merchant cartel

qunqach'a' - Palace of Parliament, the building housing the
vaS'a' (Great Hall) of the Bemorian governing council as well as the
council offices and government administrative activities

qulnuH - fire-weapon, the Bemorian's word for the unfamiliar beam
weapons carried by the invaders

'etpa' - "fore room," antechamber, specifically the lobby of the
qunqach'a'

jeqqu' qogh'a'Du' - Bemorians do not have external ears and when they
speak tlhIngan Hol they use the word qogh to represent a small flap
of protective cartillige at the teS opening. Hence qogh'a'Du' for
the comparitively huge ears of Klingons.

boq jatlhwI' - "speaker of the alliance" translation of a Bemorian
term for the child hostage and mother.

SKI: The previous story, <bemorngan tIqIH>
sees a Klingon occupation force take a major Bemorian town without
resistance, and a young Bemorian councillor surrender herself and her
baby to the Klingons, in order that the baby grow up speaking the
conquerors' tongue, in accordance to Bemorian tradition. These are
the same events, noted in that councillor's journal, and translated
twelve years later by tIllan, her bilingual, bicultural son.

Note that any errors in the Star Trekness of this piece and
subsequent Bemorian stories are misunderstandings or errors on the
part of wIyya, the narrator, and should not be nitpicked. Please.
Errors in the Klingon are the result of a twelve-year old Bemorian
boy's imperfect grasp of Klingon, and should be corrected. :-)
