Really!  Well, then, this just proves to me that Okrand didn't have the script 
in front of him when he backfit this line.

Think about it: {-ba'} and {Da} are both in the Addendum to TKD, where The 
Next Generation (and other) backfits are found.

When I heard the line for the first time after I had begun studying Klingon, I 
reasoned it out as {nepwI' ghaH}, but I quite definitely heard a {-ba'} in 
there.  It took me a while to remember the {-ba'} suffix and {Da}, but once I 
did, I was thrilled for deducing an Okrandian backfit all on my own.
