RE: usage of -laH



I tend to think of Klingons asking permission (if at all) as a statement,   
not a question.  Most likely, verbal emphasis would be used to make it a   
question, and neS would be added to the verb.  For example (clipping NOT   
included):

beq : la', cha vIbaHneS
la': yIbaH

Crewman: Commander, I will fire torpedos (?)
Commander: Fire!

To rephrase the example:

puqloD: vavoy, lupDuj vIngIpneS
vav: Qo'! DaHjaj ram yIHaDtaH!

p.s. Not sure about the Qo' - maybe ghobe' would be better.
