Interesting generalization from "bIQ bal"/waterjug! Hard to say if we can
count on a single instance to give us a general rule (the counterexamples
in natural languages are beyond counting), but it seems reasonable,
especially since we have bIQ bal as two words and not a compound (which
seems more likely for a fossilized phrase, though not truly necessary).
Still, "bIQ bal" being "waterjug", I'd think a "HIq bal" would be a jug or
pitcher or similar container. We *have* a word for "glass" in the sense of
a cup one drinks out of, "HIvje'"; that might be better for this meaning
for "beer glass."
