KLBC: majbe'

Just a shorty, I don't suppose I can say majbe' for
'not so good', like in the following:
A messenger arrives at the gates of House bItan.
"I bear important news for the epetai, let me in.."

A few minutes later he is thrown before the feet of
the epetai and starts mumbling:
"your armies have all been defeated.."
epetai:"hmm...."
"Your enemies have increased their numbers.."
ep:"hmmmmmm..."
"Your allies have abandoned you..."
ep:"HHHmmmmmmmm....."
"Your flagship has exploded due to a toaster malfunction.."
ep:"HHHHHHHHMMMMMMM......"
"and lastly, genetic research has shown that your mother
_did_ indeed have a flat forehead."
ep:"......majbe'..."

Well, not per se like in this short story, but in general,
can I negate exclamations, and if yes, can I do so with
-be'? Or must I make up a sentence and say something like:
<sentence describing situation>. QaQbe' 'e'!
