I doubt there would be any sense of honor or dishonor in
mutilating the dead, except for the sense of wasting time, and
the rather unpleasant sensory associations. I used to work at a
funeral home, and I can tell you first hand:

Would you carve your initials in feces? What would you think of
someone else who did so, even if he seemed quite good at it or
had a good story justifying why he did so? Corpses contain
feces, for a little while, anyway... This is why Klingons, with
their very sensitive noses tend not to do much in handling
corpses whether when living they were friend or foe.
