A combination of honest mistake (I conflated yellow with Doq, forgetting
Nick's observation that Klingon is unique in conflating the warm yellow
with the cool blue, and was too lazy to look it up to check it out), and
fascination with an alternate back-translation (I'd been singing "an orange
bird of prey" for a while because Doq could mean that too, and liked it).
'Sides, "DoqDaq" sounds so cool.
