This is the text of a Simon & Schuster Interactive Web page about
the forthcoming "STAR TREK: KLINGON" CD-ROM set. I have edited it
a bit to fix typos and make it look nice in plain ASCII within 65
columns, so almost everyone reading it here will see it without
margin overruns. Note that the Language Lab disc will ALSO be
playable as an audio CD to hear the "POWER KLINGON" cassette.
To access the page, go to http://www.mcp.com, then follow links to
"SSI Distribution Services", "Simon & Schuster Interactive", and
"Klingon Warrior: Starfleet Academy Holo-Simulation #1". Yes, I
know that that's a different title; I'm sure it refers to the same
product, and I THINK "Star Trek: Klingon" is the title that will
be used. Furthermore, I suspect that the reference to the "Klingon
Encyclopedia" as an already-released product should have been to
TKD.
The page (which I downloaded today, March 12) is dated Jan. 31.
I'll add two more credits:
* Language Lab speech recognition by Dragon Systems, Inc.
* Programming and interactive design by Touchscreen Media Group

Master the way of the warriors -- or suffer deadly consequences --
as you undergo Starfleet's holographic training in the language,
culture and warfare of Earth's most lethal and uneasy ally: the
Klingons. Star Trek: Klingon, the third in Simon & Schuster
Interactive's Star Trek series, is a frighteningly realistic
interactive episode that tests the user's skills in Klingon
phrases, customs, body language, and even the proper cooking of
qagh! Survive the crucial Language Lab and you may test your
newfound knowledge of tlhIngan Hol in the two-CD Immersion
Studies. Here you are Pok, a young Klingon warrior caught up in
the dangerous circles of Klingon clan politics. On the day of
[your] first Rite of Ascension your father is murdered in his own
home and it is up to you with the help of Gowron, Leader of the
High Klingon Council, to find the murderer and close the circle of
vengeance. Along the way you will encounter strange aliens,
treacherous friends, and even serve aboard the mighty Bird of
Prey, the good ship bortaS! Star Trek: Klingon includes a fully
functional interactive language lab which you can also play as an
AUDIO CD to hear extra lessons on the subtleties and nuances of
Power Klingon from Marc Okrand, creator of the Klingon language.
"Star Trek: Klingon": Knowledge and skills are all that stand
between you and the business end of a d'k tahg.
