True (well, not quite: "bIQonglaw'mo'" has ' between w and m, but what's
meant is that we don't have syllable-final consonant clusters aside from
- -w', -y', and -rgh, and no syllable-initial ones). What's more, you can't
have words that start with vowels; they have to have at least a ' as an
initial consonant. But remember that this is Paramount's transliteration
(assuming it IS a valid Klingon word), and they *like* apostrophes (look at
bat'teth or however they spell betleH. And d'k tahg, and b'rektal, etc
etc). They think it makes the words look cool and alien.
Also remember that the word wasn't invented by Okrand, either (in all
likelihood... or was it?). The Paramount writers also seem to thing that
lots of consonant clusters make Klingon sound more menacing... which is
unfortunate, since Klingon doesn't do much in the way of consonant clusters
on the whole.
