I can't interpret {nep} as a transitive verb. This blows the
whole joke. I think you want {qangagh 'e' vItIv qatlh neptaHvIS
'e' nujatlh be'pu'?} Remember that all quotation in Klingon is
direct, not indirect, and since you are setting up a we/them
joke, you want the telling to be a them/us thing, but one
presumes that while speaking they voice the singular, and
remember that {ngagh} can take a subject and an object, unlike
{nga'chuq} which can only take a plural subject. blah, blah,
blah.

If you want the punch line to be a little less ambiguous, you
want {wISaH} instead of {maSaH}.
