Well, not being a Christian (though I like to think of myself as a modern 
American!) I cannot speak either for or against this statement.  However, as a 
non-Christian I can say there is *nothing* in the conotative meaning of 
"preacher" that signals "teacher" in my mind, far from it.  Go figure.
