This is true; it wouldn't have worked here. Moreover, even if Okrand HAD
said "I think that..." should use "'e' vIQub", it wouldn't be any horrible
blow to -law' or anything. Like Larry Wall says, "There's more than one
way to do it." Approval of one way, even one that isn't your favorite,
doesn't diminish other ways; they may still be good, or even better than
the one approved. (within reason. There are, of course, situations where
Okrand says that the way to do something is X and that implies that it
isn't Y, or there'd be no way to state rules except negatively.)
