One of my favorite pieces of Klingon mood music is "Pines of the Appian Way" by
Ottorino Respighi. Great marshal music from fascist Italy of 1926. It starts
out quietly and grows to grand proportions as Roman Legions march towards you
down the great road. This is the real stuff.
Some other good stuff:
"Mars" by Gustav Holst
Just about anything from Wagner
Russian Operatic pieces like "Boris Godunov" by Mussorgsky
"The Great Gates of Kiev" from "Pictures at an Exhibition,"
also by Mussorgsky.
And, more contemporary, the soundtrack from the film "Universal
Soldier" by Christopher Franke (He does the music for
"Babylon 5."
