Sorry, I did not mean "theme" as in music, rather "theme" as in Microsoft Windows 95 Plus! desktop theme. Backgrounds, icons, mouse-pointers and sounds.

Ben,
If you or someone you know can do the sampeling, there is a fanfare track
from the soundtrack "Das Boot" that could be neat. For a lengthier
piece, Ottorino Renpigi's "Pines of the Appian Way" is inspiring.
Also, Captain Krankor (who I haven't heard around, what happened to him
anyway?) wrote a Klingon National Anthem. It's ok, but would require
full orchestration, bass brass, a cathedral organ or some other powerful
instrumentation to do it justice.
There's always the battle sequence from the first Motion Picture.
